Bulk differing from sample usually comes from no sealed sample or machine drift. The fix: sealed sample as the only standard, ICC curves to lock drift, standardized fixing.
Bulk differing from the approved sample is the top complaint in printing OEM, but the root cause almost always falls into two types: no sealed sample, or uncontrolled machine drift. Many disputes are avoidable — pin the standard at the very start.
1. Seal the sample: first piece or supplied sample sealed as the only bulk standard, reference when disputed.
2. Curve lock: independent ICC curve per line for cross-machine consistency, reorders not by memory.
3. Standardized fixing: fixed steaming/washing/finishing, no color shift, shipment equals receipt.
Done well, batch ΔE stays under 1.5 — sample equals bulk.
Stability relies on system, not individuals: 8 inks at 16.7M colors base, ICC curves quantify and lock device differences; six widths 200-320CM full-width direct printing avoids micro-seam color differences; grade 4+ fastness resists sun and washing.
Write ΔE<1.5 acceptance and reorder-consistency clauses; archive the sealed sample through project end; first-piece check against the seal, stop the line on mismatch. Move from people-control to system-control.
Seal + ICC are critical for high-fidelity curtains, wallcoverings, home textiles and projects; plain colors may simplify but sealing is still advised.
Summary: color complaints root in no seal or drift; fix with sealed-sample baseline, ICC curves and standard fixing for ΔE<1.5.

Check each item before ordering to reduce rework and color drift:
Several misconceptions circulate in the industry; clarifying them helps rational selection:
误区:A master's eye is enough
正解:Subjective and drifting; seal + ICC pin the standard.
误区:Same factory, same device, no drift
正解:Batch curves can still drift; ICC must quantify and lock.
误区:Right at shipment means fine
正解:Unfixed params shift later; off at customer, untraceable.
No sealed sample (no single standard) or uncontrolled machine drift.
Sealed sample as the only standard, per-line ICC curves to lock drift, standardized fixing for batch ΔE<1.5.
Varying steaming/washing shifts color later; right at ship, off at receipt, hard to trace.
Archived seal + per-line ICC curves, consistent across machines, not by memory.
ΔE<1.5 acceptance, reorder-consistency clause, seal archive period.
Low-fidelity can simplify but sealing is still advised as backup.
